Be a part of this bipartisan public engagement event called the Fiscal Wake Up Tour with U.S. Comptroller General David Walker, Harry Zeeve- National Field Director of the Concord Coalition, and speakers from The Brookings Institution and The Heritage Foundation. The purpose of the Fiscal Wake Up Tour is to educate Americans about our nation’s true long-term financial condition and large and growing fiscal imbalance and to encourage Americans to demand action. The result of this event is to encourage the spirit of bipartisan honesty and frank discussion that will be necessary to preserve the strength of the American economy for posterity. The topic is timely and the speakers are top national people bringing this discussion to Right Here In Chandler!

Boomerang is fortunate to have a certified retirement coach as a peer volunteer. Peer mentoring will include the non-financial elements of pre-retirement planning, retirement planning and living a life full of purpose. Space for Informal Gathering
Space for Boomers to meet informally is available at all library locations. PAGES, at the downtown Chandler Public Library, offers coffee, snacks and a light lunch, with a seating area conducive to quiet conversations. Proceeds from PAGES support the mission of the Friends of the Chandler Public Library. All other libraries have lounge seating areas and small meeting rooms.
Volunteer Clearinghouse
Boomerang provides a link to Experience Bank Experience Bank located on the Chandler Non-Profit Coalition website. The Experience Bank serves as a clearinghouse for mature individuals looking for volunteer opportunities in the Chandler area. Individuals interested in being informed of opportunities for community engagement may enter interests and experience by completing a brief profile online. The Experience Bank offers the opportunity for community members to present their experience and interests and select form appropriate choices, as they deem appropriate. Boomers represent a new generation of volunteers and want their experience and interests to make a difference.
